An illustrated and light hearted walk through some of the club’s history and characters, by me (Howard Chadwick).
Thursday 15th March 2012 at the Clubhouse. 7.30pm for a start at 7.45 prompt!
I will be covering some serious stuff and some hopefully humorous and even embarrassing stuff. Why not come along and learn what the “Iron Duke” was, about the floating clubhouse, our very own fire, the 24 hour races, the man who tried to buy the Dam and even a bit about Lancaster Bombers! The talk will take no more than 45 minutes to an hour I promise and will be followed by a pie n pea supper with tea or coffee all for £2.50 per person. The pub will still be open even after all that but if anyone wishes to bring their own alcoholic beverages they are welcome to do so.
Please do confirm if you are able to come on the website or direct to me as the pies need to be ordered a few days before the event and we cannot guarantee to feed anyone who does not pre book at least two days before the event. Please also confirm any vegetarian requirements other than Peas and Peas!
